earth_hi_resOur Story
We started Little Square Farm in 2005. Our original intent was to grow food in our back yard and feed ourselves and sell out our local farmer's market. We live in NE Columbus, Ohio. We have a large maple tree in our back yard and despite our best attempts; we could not create enough sunny space to grow more than we needed.

So LSF lay dormant until the summer of 2007. We had started a Bicycle business and it was going very well. We had created rain barrels for our home in 2005. We had some neighbors noticed them and wanted some for themselves. So we made them. Then a friend who owns an outdoor products business, who was unhappy with her supplier for rain barrels, came to us and asked to sell ours. We thought "why not". This is story of be careful what you wish for. We couldn't keep up! There were successful beyond our wildest dreams.

We did our best through the end of 2007. The bicycle business was going well and LSF was just a part-time endeavor. In the late spring of 2008 it all had grown to the point we had to choose between the two. It was too much work to do both. A nice problem to have, huh!

We were partners in Little Square Farm. We had always thought of it as our future. We decided to focus on LSF and follow our dream. We started with rain barrels, expanded to other rain water harvesting products, including stands, diverters, installation, and workshops. Diane also operates Dynaclean Cleaning Service. She uses all natural cleaning products exclusively. She had some customers ask where they could get the products for use in between her visits. We thought, “Why not add cleaning products to what we offer”. So we did. What most folks are surprised by is the fact you can get everything at your local grocery store. They are not expensive and they are all safe.

We use everything we sell. That gives us a personal experience with our products that most companies don't have. We can offer the details that make a difference in how well a product benefits your life.
