Present – Things are going well at Little Square Farm. Business is up about 25% over last year. It has not been without it's struggles though. We had to raise our prices in response to our costs going up, as it has for all of you, I'm sure. We changed the structure of the business, we're now a LLC, and included Diane's cleaning business under the LSF banner. So now we are operating one business instead of two. This has simplified things greatly! We are focusing on creating a stable, sustainable business for the long haul.

We made some great new connections including currently having 5 wholesale customers Greenovate, two Oakland Nurseries, Clintonville Community Market and Miller's Country Gardens. We have partnered with the Delaware Soil and Water Conservation District on a rain barrel program, Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed (FLOW) on compost training program. We've done numerous workshops around central Ohio in the first half of the year and many more to come, including Comfest at the end of June. Don't forget the Ohio Green Living Fayre on labor day. We are part of the organizing committee as well as having a booth and doing workshops.

Our installations and custom painting are going strong. We done several projects this year and more are scheduled. It really makes difference for people interested in rain barrels, but don't like the looks, when they see them painted. They almost disappear in to your landscape! Future - There are some great things coming down the road for us! We will be offering blue rain barrels along with our white ones. We'll have a 30 gallon model as well as some new kits for those DIY'ers. We'll be partnering with Greenovate on large scale rain water harvesting systems such cisterns and filtration. We'll also focus on gray water systems soon. We want to knock down some doors and change some perceptions with these projects. Water will be our next crisis and we want to help everyone be prepared.
